We were recently booked to play an 18th Birthday Party at hitchin town hall in hertfordshire.
Its quite a big hall, so we used a range of lights & 6ft flames & starcloths to create the needed effects in the venue. Larger amps & extra base speakers were used to give power to fill the hall.
It was an excellent evening. We featured arange of bollywood, hindi, pakistani music as well as the traditional bhangra punjabi desi music. The crowd was young & once they got going they were on the dancefloor all night. The crowd were very up to date with there music, so we had lots of requests, we managed to honour all of them. When it comes to Indian Music knowledge, Our DJ (dj Pard) is a walking wikipedia & has 1000's of indian CDs in his collection. Our dhol player rocked the party & made sure nobody left the dancefloor. We were supposed to do a 5 hour set, but played longer as they were such a brilliant crowd. A very enjoyable evening had by all. Managed to get a few more contacts for future events.
